Assessment Instructions

For this task you will need to:

  • Implement the fundamental movement expenses daily from Activity la.
  • Write a daily jotting based on your observations of the experience.
  • Reflect daily on the expenses that you implemented.

Consider how the children engaged with the experience, what did they find challenging. Did they use the equipment in an unexpected way, did any child demonstrate advanced skin or technique with the equipment or experience, did the children persevere with their efforts to try and learn the new skill
Consider how you assisted and enco4xaged each child, acknowledged each child’s uniqueness, how you set up the environment, engaged the children’s interest, modeled and explained the experience, how you managed behavior, how you encouraged social interaction between children promoted co-operation and conflict resolution.
Analyze your reflections to plan any modifications to the experience for the following day. This may include adjusting the level of challenge of the experience, providing different resources, sourcing additional activities, and modifying your pedagogical practices

Assessment instructions

Outdoor Environment
For this task you are required to collaborate with the Workplace Supervisor and the room team in planning the outdoor environment for one week to facilitate children’s physical skills and to promote an appreciation of the natural environment study
In addition your focus will be to plan the resources/equipment for one outdoor area each day, for example, the sandpit, climbing equipment, construction, water play; you may also consider introducing loose parts, natural materials, literacy, dramatic play, visual art, music and movement.
You are required to:

  •  Collaborate with the team and the children to plan the outdoor set up for a one week period.
  •  Attach a copy of the outdoor plan that you have completed — use the services planning format.
  •  Plan the area and the materials required and to set up prior to the children using the area.
  •  You need to consider aesthetics and safety in the presentation of your resources/equipment and the level of interest and challenge for the age group.
  •  For one specific area within the outdoor environment you will formulate a goal for the use of the area relating to the resources and/or equipment that you provide such as sandpit, climbing equipment etc.
  •  Complete jottings of the children’s activity, involvement, play in the specific area.
  •  Evaluate the goal.

 Attach photographs of each day’s area/experience.
Document your responses on the ‘Outdoor Planning’ template.

This task will require you to:

  • Day One:Use the indoor planning preparation form to observe and collaborate to formulate ideas for the weekly indoor free play program to be implemented over four days. Research the equipment
  • and resources that are available for your use at the service.
  • Day Two — Five:Use the services indoor programming format to document your plan for the foil
  • days you are to plan, implement. Evaluate and modify the morning indoor tree play program

including the following activities/experiences each day:
 Sensory expenses such as play dough, clay, water etc.
